The Merrimac Fire Department has been notified that we were one of ten departments who won the $10,000 grant from Liberty Mutual Insurance Company's Be Fire Smart fire safety contest.
This is the second year in a row that Merrimac Fire has won this nationwide grant.
We appreciate everyone taking the time to take the 10-question fire safety quiz and voting for Merrimac Fire, while learning ways to keep your family safe and prevent fires.
The $10,000 check will be presented by Liberty Mutual Insurance the evening of Monday December 5th, 2011 to the Merrimac Fire Department at Fire Headquarters.
